Over the years Purple has been at the forefront of web innovation. Our work includes:
- one of the first sports live timing systems
- the first web-based real time odds for a betting company
- one of the early online banking systems
- a 3D browser, virtual world platform (both client and server) and 3D shopping experience
The list above are some of Purple's major innovations. But we also do every day software, so we've additionally built Content Management Systems, web scraper systems, e-commerce and ticketing sites, stock control systems, booking systems, fantasy games, survey systems and a variety of other bespoke software.
However, we don't believe in reinventing the wheel. So if there's an existing proven application available, we'd rather expand on it. For example, for years Purple had its own Content Management System (CMS) but now there are a few widely used systems, so we'd rather use one of these for our clients.
Most importantly our clients regularly comment on the problem-free experience of working with Purple. No matter the challenge, we deliver.
PROCESS
Purple develops both Web-based and Desktop applications though most of the Desktop applications have a web connectivity element.
- Together with client create sketches of screen interfaces and functional requirements in powerpoint
- Design detailed screen interfaces
- Produce database design and technical specifications
- Software coding according to milestones
- Test and Review
- As early and often as possible(ideally at design time) seek end-user input
